Communities in which people live in harmony with each other and with nature.
PCD works with communities to re-connect people’s hearts with nature and to explore ways to live sustainably.
By sustainable living, we mean that people live simply, in harmony with nature and in locally self-reliant communities. People support each other; they are content, creative and secure.
The nurturing of community facilitators (CF) is PCD’s primary approach to programmes. CFs are individuals, civic groups and community-based organisations both from within and outside local communities. Our primary approach integrates three components;
1. Skills and knowledge training
2. Reflection on culture and sustainable living
3. Connection to the hearts and building inner strength
These facilitators will contribute to the cultivation of local activism and capacity building in grassroots communities to generate collective actions for change.
