The South South Forum The South South Forum, an international organisation networking with countries of the Global South to explore global development issues, held its second annual seminar in last December at the Southwest University in Chongqing, China. The seminar, on the theme, "Sustainable Practices and the Development of Rural Areas", explored the issues of food security and food sovereignty in the context of the current financial crisis, energy crisis as well as ecological crisis, and hence moved on to discuss on the rural economy and the development of community.
