PCD is supporting the New Farmers Internship for Ecological Agriculture in Sichuan and Chongqing project run by our partner organisation, the Health Culture Revival Social Communication Society of Chongqing. Young people are sent by the Society to ecological farms to learn and practice ecological agriculture. In addition, the Society creates networks of young rural returnees in Sichuan and Chongqing, so as to encourage more people to adopt an ecological way of farming and living. From July 2012 to May 2014, 23 young people were interned in various farms through these platforms.
This video examines the life decisions made by four of these young people after their internship, and how their labour and experiences in the fields have indelibly coloured these young lives.
