| In a programme supported by PCD that aims at turning garbage into resources, Xiao Er Township in Gong County in Sichuan has organised various propaganda activities on environmental protection. For example, there is an annual exhibition on environmental protection which is organised by local community groups. Last year, the exhibition took place at the end of December. Initiated by teachers of Xiao Er Township Central Primary School, the venue was decorated by waste materials (such as used paper cups) instead of colourful balloons. The paper cups were strung together to make “colourful ribbons” for decoration. |
